Richard Li's design harmonizes classic and contemporary aesthetic values, integrating emotion and taste of both Eastern and Western with space and form, and emphasizes depth and richness in simplicity.

His design focuses on:
-Defining space to reflect one's identity and personality;
-Creating elegance and efficient interior architectural solutions to improve and enhance the interior surroundings;
-Creating comfortable and functional interior environments within a culturally friendly atmosphere.

His design  includs:
-Existing field verification/survey;
-Working drawings utilizing AutoCAD;
-Conceptual 3D model utilizing SketchUp;
-Selecting of colors, finishes, furniture, lighting fixtures, and accessories.

He also does high quality hand rendering and illustration, either contemporary or classical style. He utilizes a variety of rendering techniques and media, including: watercolor, gouache, marker, pastel, pencil, pen and ink, and charcoal for architectural design, interior design, landscape design, real estate development design, as well as classical and historical architecture preservation.

Richard Li is an award-winning artist whose work has been recognized in both the United States and China. His painting is Russian and French influenced, either realist or decorative. He uses a variety of media including: watercolor, gouache, pastels, pencil, pen and ink, and charcoal. The subjects of his art include: portraits, landscapes, still life, and flora.

He also has sophisticated aesthetic, knowledge, and skills in textile pattern design. His style ranges from traditional oriental and traditional occidental to contemporary design. He also does batiks utilizing traditional folk technique.
